National Poetry Day Open Mic at Redbridge Central Library
You’re warmly invited to our National Poetry Day Open Mic, an evening dedicated to the spoken word, where poetry & prose take centre stage.
As part of the National Year of Reading, Redbridge Libraries is delighted to invite people of all ages to take part in our National Poetry Day Open Mic. Building on the creativity of our existing writing groups, we encourage everyone, from experienced poets to first-time writers, to celebrate the joy of reading, writing and self-expression through poetry.
Our Open Mic is a welcoming platform for readers and writers alike – whether you wish to share your own work or read a beloved piece that resonates with you.
Those who are entering our Redbridge Libraries Poetry Competition are encouraged to attend and read their submitted poem.
Each reading will be limited, ensuring a vibrant and varied programme throughout the night.
If you’d like to read/perform, you can pre-register via Eventbrite or simply add your name to the list on the night.
Open to ages 7 and above, whether you’re keen to perform or prefer to sit back and soak up the atmosphere.
So come along, be bold, be brave – and immerse yourself in an evening of literary delight.
