Or maybe you’d love some tips for how to find out more about your own ancestors?  \nCame along to meet representatives from \n* Redbridge Museum\n* Redbridge Heritage Centre\n* East of London Family History Society\n* Ilford Historical Society. \nFollow our fun Family Trail to help you discover facts connected to the people who lived in this wonderful house over the 210 years from 1696 to 1906 when it was a private family home. A rolling presentation about many of these different families will help solve the clues and there will opportunities to ask members of theFriends of Valentines Mansionif they can help with the answers!  \nFor the 2026 annual Hooker Prize Schools’ Competition\, pupils were asked to write a letter as if they were a visitor to Valentines in 19th century. Escape into the enchanted forest alongside Hermia\, Lysander\, Helena and Demetrius as they get more than they bargained for\, when a vibrant cast of magical woodland fairies take matters into their own hands. \nWith ELSF’s signature high-energy numbers\, slapstick comedy\, and audience participation\, this is Shakespeare for everyone! Alongside a community engagement programme with lots of opportunities to get involved. \nBYO Picnics welcome: gates open an hour before the show\, so bring a picnic\, soak up the atmosphere. There is also a café on-site open throughout the show for refreshments. \nFor younger members of the audience (3+)\, you can also take part in a pre-show ‘flower-fairy’ headband making workshops run by cast members.
