Dr Ralph Selig, an American expert on Jewish music, will be based with the SWESRS community for two weeks in June and has kindly agreed to share with us his insights into the world of Jewish music.

He is well-known as an authority on German Jewish Liturgical music and the dissemination of this music through lectures, performances, andconcerts throughout the world. He is a Visiting Professor of Jewish Liturgical Music at the Abraham Geiger College in Berlin and is currently a Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

As a prelude to Ralph’s talk, our own Synagogue Choir will be performing in the Prayer Hall for 30 minutes.
This will be followed by refreshments with the talk commencing at 8.00pm
