How AI Works, 12-14 yrs
Find out what is really happening when artificial intelligence learns.
In this hands-on workshop, you will train an AI to recognise movements such as waving your arms or turning your head, then use those movements to control a snake-style computer game. You will also create an AI that learns how to find its way through a simple maze. By testing different routes and learning from its mistakes, it will gradually improve – just as many real AI systems do. **This workshop is subject to funding. See ‘Attendee instructions’ section on this booking.**
This workshop goes beyond simply using AI. It will help you understand how AI learns, what it can do and where its limitations are.
No previous experience of AI or coding is needed. Everything will be explained step by step, with extra challenges available for anyone who already has some experience.
If the session is fully booked, please join the waiting list. This helps us see the level of interest and plan future sessions.
