Competition Time

Ilford Town Centre has been chosen to take part in the Mayor of London’s High Streets for All Challenge to support town centres and high streets to thrive.

Help us develop a vision for Ilford Town Centre with Sustainability and responding to Climate Change at its heart and share your ideas to create a Green Town Centre.

Who can take part?

The competition is open to anyone who lives or works in Ilford and the surrounding areas, including children, adults as well as artists, architects, planners, and other creative professionals.

The prize

Individuals have the chance to win £200 worth of High Street vouchers and see their ideas turned into reality. Entries will be displayed in the Town Centre on 2nd October 2021 as part of our High Street event.

How to enter

Download the Competition Pack to design your ideas for a site in the Town Centre that needs improving. Or contact us to receive a pack in the post.

We are interested in projects that provide more greenery; this could be creating small park areas and greening existing buildings or other green ideas.

Entries will be displayed, and the winner announced on Saturday 2nd October 2021

The competition is open to anyone who lives or works in Ilford and the surrounding area including

children and young people.

The winning entry will receive £200 worth of High Street vouchers.

Entries will be displayed in the Town Centre on 2nd October 2021 as part of our High Street event.

The winning entry will form part of our proposal for Stage 3 of the Mayor of London’s High Streets for

All Challenge.

How to enter

1. You can enter by post or online. Your work must show your ideas for a greener Ilford Town

Centre in 2030.

2. We can accept drawings, collage, photography, computer aided design images or pictures of 3D

models plus accompanying text. We cannot accept actual models at the initial entry stage –

please keep for display later.

3. Acceptable file formats include jpeg, tiff, html or PDF. If you would like to provide a different file

format, please contact us first.

4. To enter by post, please fill out the entry form and send it with your artwork to High Streets

Challenge, Ilford BID, 28 – 42 Clements Road, Ilford IG1 1BA

5. If you are entering online, go to the Ilford BID website to complete the form and follow the

instructions to send your entry by email.

6. Whichever method you choose to enter, you will need to provide:

● Names of anyone involved in creating your entry

● Contact details for your entry – a parent or guardian’s contact details for entrants aged

under 16

● A brief description of the art or design you are entering to the competition

Competition rules

1. Your work must be original and your own.

2. Entries must be received by midnight on Sunday 26

th September 2021. No entries to

the competition will be accepted after the closing date.

3. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason and we

cannot return any entries.

4. There is no entry fee to enter this competition.

5. Winners will be chosen by a panel selected by Ilford BID.

6. The winner will be notified by email and/or phone within 7 days of the closing date.

7. The prize is not transferable.

8. Ilford BID’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final

and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name in any publicity material.

10. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions
