We are proud to announce the launch of the 2023 Ilford Business Awards.
This year, the awards will start with a business registration process between May and July, with nominations kicking off in August and running until the 31st of October. Like last year, the awards will include businesses in Ilford North and South.
Last year saw the celebration of businesses in the fifteen awards in collaboration with the Office of Sam Tarry, Office of Wes Streeting , the Leader of the London Borough of Redbridge Jas Athwal, Deputy Leader Kam Rai, Chief Executive of Redbridge Council Claire Symonds, Mayor Thavathuray Jeyaranjan and our sponsors the HSBC, Enterprise Enfield , Redbridge Chamber, Best Western Hotels, Metro Bank, Blachere, Destination Core, DigiPix, Paul Fox Photography, Protek UK, Exchange Ilford and the Ilford Recorder.
The awards graciously closed with Beauty at Anju’s, Tight Fit Jeans, Metro Bank, The Great Spoon of Ilford , Salma’s Hair Studio, DigiPix Ilford, The Connaught, Massi’s Kitchen, TSB Bank, Tight Fit Jeans, Barney Bear’s Nursery, City Gates Conference Centre , Art of Chaat, Exchange Ilford and Golden Barbers winning Best Beauty Business of the Year, Best Fashion Business of the Year, Best Finance Sector Business of the Year, Best in Customer Service, Best Media Business of the Year, Best Sustainable Business of the Year, Best Legacy Business , Employer of the Year, Ilford Business of the Year, Independent Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Redbridge Business of the Year respectively. Excellent Hair and Beauty also won the special mention award and the Redbridge Beacon award was posthumously presented to the family of Zara Aleena. The award will be presented each year to the organisation or businesses that demonstrates their commitment to drive women’s safety at work and in the community of Redbridge.
This year, we have brought back the category format for voting ranging from best in customer service to best sustainable transition business, with multiple categories. We have introduced a new category to recognise culture and art within our community. We are also introducing a new registration process for businesses who wish to take part in the award to register the details or their business and confirm why their customers and supporters should vote for them to win one of the prestigious award categories.
The awards offer a unique platform to celebrate local businesses and for you to support and vote for your favourite business or person. Business registration will open on the Monday the 8th of May and close on the 31st of July. Customer, client, and supporter nominations open from the 7th of August and close on the 31st of October, with winners declared at our awards ceremony which will be held on the 30th of November 2023. So, if you would like to register your business, the time is now, if you know a business that has gone above and beyond, or a business person who deserves some praise, let them know you appreciate their hard work and excellence by nominating them for a Ilford Business Award.

This must be the first organisation, business or individual in Redbridge which or whom comes first to your mind when you think of arts and culture in Redbridge. The organisation, company or individual must be based in and steeped in Redbridge values. This must be the first organisation, business or individual in Redbridge which or whom comes first to your mind when you think of women’s safety in Redbridge. The category can include all businesses and individuals such as retail, hospitality, education, sole proprietors, volunteers, policing teams, security firms and local authorities.
