On Saturday 22th November 2025, from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM, the streets of Ilford will transform into a winter wonderland of glowing lights, festive cheer, and action-packed entertainment.

From Ilford High Road to Exchange Ilford and the steps of Redbridge Town Hall, this full-day event is completely free and bursting with excitement for all ages.

🎄 Meet Santa, the Grinch, Iron Man & More

It wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa himself! Visit Santa’s Grotto between 12 PM and 5 PM on Level 3 at Exchange Ilford for a jolly photo and a magical chat.

But beware… The Grinch is back! Catch him roaming Exchange Ilford and Mercato Ilford between 12 PM and 5 PM for some cheeky antics and memorable selfies.

And for all the superhero fans, Iron Man will be patrolling the high street and ready for awesome photo ops. Don’t forget to find our iconic Back to the Future DeLorean outside Exchange Ilford between 11:30 AM and 5 PM – perfect for a throwback time-travel selfie!

At 5:30 PM, gather on Ilford High Road for a truly magical moment as we officially light up the town for Christmas! The streets will sparkle with festive brilliance as Ilford’s stunning new illuminations burst to life.

✨ Don’t miss the I LOVE ILFORD Light Feature by Exchange Ilford Cranbrook Road entrance, the debut of our brand-new glowing Angel Wings Photo Spot, and our new decorated Walk-In Christmas Tree Installation. Stroll through our 3 Lit-Up Christmas Trees Triangular Installations, be dazzled by our beaming lamp post column displays and find the three giant lit up trees near Zoo Fashion, filling the air with festive warmth and cheer.
