LEGO Build and Code: Unlock the Treasure Chest, 10-11 yrs
Build a LEGO treasure chest with a secret lock you can code! Create a magnetic key, connect a motor and programme the chest to recognise the right key and unlock. Then experiment with digital codes and extra challenges to make your treasure even harder to crack.
**This workshop is part of the LEGO Build and Code series. Please book your child’s preferred workshop and join the waiting lists for the other three if they would also like to attend, so more children have the chance to take part in at least one workshop.**
The workshop will be led by a team of four female STEM students, with plenty of support and encouragement throughout. Girls are particularly encouraged to take part.
No previous coding experience is needed, and all equipment and materials are provided. Children will have lots of opportunities to experiment, solve problems and build their confidence in a friendly and supportive environment.
