Kenneth More Theatre has been a beloved cultural landmark in Ilford since it first opened its doors in 1975, named in honour of the iconic British film and stage actor Kenneth More. While structural inspections have revealed the presence of RAAC (a lightweight concrete used in mid-20th century construction), and we’ve temporarily closed the auditorium as a precaution, the show must go on in other spaces! Our stylish bars, welcoming foyers, and versatile studio spaces remain open and available for hire, perfect for events, rehearsals, or creative gatherings.

We’re committed to keeping the spirit of performance alive while we work behind the scenes to ensure the building’s safety and longevity.
